Dr. Gaye Defne Ceyhan
Gaye works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Boğaziçi University (B.U.). After working for 8 years as a science teacher in various schools, she completed her master's degree in science teaching programme at B.U. and her PhD at Syracuse University in the USA. She conducts research on environmental education, climate change education, science communication, and systems thinking approach and provides teacher trainings in these areas.
Melike Hanedar
Melike graduated from Boğaziçi University Undergraduate Program in Science Education. She is currently doing her master's degree at Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. She also works as a project assistant in the project. She is interested in climate change and environmental education, metacognition, epistemology of science and systems thinking approach.
İpek Paksoy
İpek graduated from Boğaziçi University Undergraduate Program in Science Education and she is doing her master's degree in Educational Technology programme. She works as a research assistant at Boğaziçi University Virtual Reality Laboratory and as a product manager at an educational software development company. She is interested in virtual reality applications in education, self-regulated learning, computational thinking, and environmental education.
Erenay Atay
Erenay graduated from Boğaziçi University Undergraduate Program in Science Education and she is doing her master's degree in Educational Technology Program at the same university. She is currently working in the product department of a software company. She conducts research on topics such as helping individuals with learning disabilities with technology and encouraging group work on online platforms. She is also a member of the Science-e-Communication start-up project team.
Adem Çavuş
Adem graduated from Boğaziçi University, Undergraduate Program in Chemistry Education. He is currently actively working as a high school teacher. He is doing research on teacher training, teacher identity, and STEM education. He also continues to work with the Science-e-Communication Start-up project team.
Meltem Ceylan Alibeyoğlu
Meltem graduated from METU Department of Mathematics. She completed her master's degree in Environmental Sciences at Boğaziçi University, Institute of Environmental Sciences. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in the same department. She works as an R&D Coordinator in a private school in Istanbul. She carries out research on sustainability, environmental education, environmental literacy, recycling, and systems thinking approach and occasionally gives lectures at the university in these fields.
Ülkü Seher Budak
Ülkü graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Science Teaching program. She is currently doing her master's degree at Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. She conducts research on systems thinking and works as a researcher in the Science-e-Communication start-up project.
Dr. Defne Yabaş
Defne graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics Education. She completed her master's and doctorate degrees in Curriculum and Instruction at Yıldız Technical University. She is working as a faculty member at Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Educational Sciences. At the same time, she works as an assistant director at Bahçeşehir University, BAUSTEM Centre. She conducts research on STEM education, mathematical modeling, and curriculum development and provides training in seminars and workshops.
Doç. Dr. Sevinç Gelmez Burakgazi
Sevinç completed her graduate studies at METU Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She continued her thesis studies on science communication at the University of Wisconsin Madison. She is currently working in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Hacettepe University and has been conducting research at University College London for about a year. Her research interests include teacher education, curriculum development, higher education studies, science communication, sustainability and climate change.
Nazmiye Ertuğrul
Nazmiye graduated from Boğaziçi University Undergraduate Program in Science Education in 2021. She worked as a science teacher in an international college for 1.5 years. She is currently continuing her master's degree at Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. She is interested in systems thinking approach in education, metacognition, climate change and environmental education. At the same time, she continues to work with the Science-e-Communication Start-up project team.
